Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

My favourite moisturiser of 2015 has to be the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream! It’s a huge favourite of many and for good reason!

This moisturiser comes in a 45mL tube. Although that sounds really small you don’t need a lot to smother your face in it’s gloriousness. This one tube has lasted me for months!

The ingredients list includes the possible irritants: Olive Fruit Oil, Silicones (Dimethicone), Triethanol amine, Carbomer and Butylene Glycol. They are not ranked very high as possible irritants but if you have sensitive skin I would patch test this on your neck before hand and use with caution.

Good ingredients include the star of the show Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate,  Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract and Green Tea Extract. These ingredients moisturise, nourish and protect the skin. Snail has been argued in studies to regenerate and repair skin because that is exactly what snails use it for on themselves. Of course this is not an animal friendly product – snails are agitated to release their secretions for harvesting.

What this product aids in is restoring skin a healthy glow, help redness, scarring and acne. It’s a smooth gel like consistency that dries perfectly and makes the skin feel soft and supple. After using this product for a few months I just love it! It’s light enough for summer but paired with other products it’s moisturising enough for winter! For the price point of US$5.30 on ebay (a trusted seller I’ve bought with numerous times) you really can’t go wrong!
